Hall of State (Art Deco centerpiece of Fair Park)

The Hall of State was constructed for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition and is the Art Deco centerpiece of Fair Park. The limestone-clad building features bas-relief sculpture, classical motifs rendered in Art Deco styling, and a ceremonial hall intended to celebrate Texas history. It remains a prominent example of 1930s monumental exposition architecture in Dallas.
