Helsinki City Hall

Helsinki City Hall, located in the Kruununhaka district, is a historical administrative building overlooking Market Square. Originally completed in 1833 as Hotel Seurahuone, it has transformed into the seat of the City Council of Helsinki after being purchased by the city in 1901. The building underwent significant renovations in the late 1960s, blending modern design with its classical roots. Today, it houses the offices of the Mayor and Deputy Mayors, and features the Virka information service, which offers exhibitions, concerts, and screenings, making it a vibrant cultural hub for both residents and visitors.
