Commerce Tower

Commerce Tower is a striking 30-story skyscraper in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, completed in 1965. As the first locally designed skyscraper since City Hall, it features a distinctive pre-cast stone and glass facade. Originally home to the Top of the Tower restaurant, which offered diverse ethnic cuisines, the building has a rich history, including a beam signed by 18,000 people, including former President Harry S. Truman. Although it no longer houses Commerce Bancshares, it now accommodates Park University's downtown campus and is poised for redevelopment into a vibrant mix of office, residential, and educational spaces, enhanced by the nearby KC Streetcar.
