Mount Dillon

Mount Dillon was a historic estate and plantation located in Baltimore County, Maryland, established in the 1770s by Daniel Carroll. Situated on a rural road to Frederick, it was approximately seven miles from Baltimore and two miles north of what is now Catonsville. The estate encompassed 400 acres and was notable for its connection to the Carroll family, with Daniel leasing adjacent lands that contributed to the development of the area. After changing hands several times, it was owned by Samuel Kirk Crosby from 1846 until his death in 1911, during which time he farmed the land and maintained the old slaves' quarters. The estate was eventually sold to Dr. H. M. Rowe in 1919, marking the end of its agricultural legacy.
