Luxor Sky Beam

The Luxor Sky Beam projects upward from the apex of the Luxor Hotel's glass pyramid and is produced by an array of high-intensity xenon lamps installed when the resort opened. It is among the most powerful commercial light beams in the world and can be seen from miles away and by aircraft; claims of visibility from space have been made but are debated. The beam is a prominent nighttime visual landmark on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip.
