Space Needle (slow-rotation gag)

The Space Needle was built for the 1962 World's Fair and stands 605 feet tall with an observation deck at about 520 feet. The restaurant at the top historically completed one full rotation in roughly 47 minutes. Locals commonly joke about the slow rotation and treat the Needle as a quirky, defining symbol of Seattle.
