Junípero Serra Museum / Presidio Hill overlook

The Junípero Serra Museum sits atop Presidio Hill and occupies the site of the 1769 Spanish presidio; its hilltop position provides panoramic views over Old Town, downtown San Diego, and San Diego Bay. The museum and adjacent Presidio Park are often less visited than waterfront overlooks, making the terrace and museum grounds a quieter historic viewpoint. The building itself dates to 1929 and was intentionally sited for its commanding view of the original settlement area and harbor approaches.
