Old Farm

The Old Farm is a historic First Period house located in Wenham, Massachusetts, showcasing architectural evolution from the 17th century. Originally constructed with a left front and chimney, it expanded over time with additional rooms and a rear leanto section. In the late 19th century, the house was elevated to two stories and received a gambrel roof. A significant restoration in the early 20th century, led by expert Joseph Everett Chandler, highlighted its historical importance, earning recognition in a 1921 House Beautiful article. The Old Farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture.
