RCA Studio A

RCA Studio A, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is a historic music recording studio established in 1965, known for its significant role in the development of the Nashville Sound. Originally built by music legends Chet Atkins, Owen Bradley, and Harold Bradley, the studio hosted a plethora of iconic artists, including Dolly Parton, George Strait, and Waylon Jennings. After its closure by RCA in 1977, it underwent several transformations, operating as Music City Music Hall and later Javelina Recording Studios. In 2014, a demolition threat sparked a preservation movement, leading to its purchase by local philanthropists and its addition to the National Register of Historic Places. Today, RCA Studio A continues to be a vibrant hub for music production, reflecting Nashville's rich musical heritage.
