Monkenholt

Monkenholt is a historic late 18th century house located in Hadley Green Road, Monken Hadley, within the London Borough of Barnet. This grade II listed building is notable for being the former residence of Dame Cicely Saunders, the pioneer of the hospice movement. The house also has a dramatic history, having been the target of a bombing by the Angry Brigade in 1971 while it was occupied by government minister Robert Carr, although no one was injured.
