Mordington (Frederica, Delaware)

Mordington, also known as the Douqlass House, is a historic Georgian-style home located near Frederica, Delaware, dating back to around 1785. This 2+1⁄2-story brick dwelling features a unique double-pile plan and has undergone some changes, including the replacement of a lower frame and brick wing in the late 1960s. Notably, many original elements, including the main doorways and interior woodwork, were relocated to the Winterthur Museum. Mordington was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
