Routzahn-Miller Farmstead

The Routzahn-Miller Farmstead is a historic home and farm complex located in Middletown, Maryland, showcasing a blend of Federal style architecture and agricultural heritage. Built around 1825, the site features a brick house, smokehouse, and various outbuildings including a Pennsylvania barn, which has been repurposed as a preschool. Spanning 16.7 acres on the scenic South Mountain, this farmstead represents the rural lifestyle of mid-Maryland from the early 19th century to the World War II era. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
