Costurero de la Reina

The Costurero de la Reina, or Queen's Sewing Box, is a charming hexagonal building located in the gardens of the Palace of San Telmo, now part of Maria Luisa Park in Seville, Spain. Constructed in 1893, it is the oldest example of the neomudéjar architectural style in the city, featuring turrets and large Arabic-style windows. Originally serving as a guard house and garden retreat, it is named after a popular legend involving Mercedes of Orléans, although she passed away before its construction. Today, the building houses the Seville Tourist Information Office, welcoming visitors with operational hours from 9 AM to 7:30 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to 2 PM on weekends. The Costurero de la Reina is not only a historical landmark but also a functional space for tourism, having undergone restoration in 2007 to enhance its structure and usability.
