Constantia Emporium

Constantia Emporium is an upscale shopping center located in Constantia, Cape Town, South Africa, developed on land that was historically owned by the Solomon family. After being taken by the apartheid government in the 1960s and used as a refuse depot for decades, the family successfully reclaimed their property in 2012. The center features 26 stores, including popular retailers like Checkers and Woolworths, as well as restaurants and a co-working space. Opened in November 2019, it stands as a symbol of resilience and community, blending modern retail with a rich historical narrative.
