Palace of Fine Arts - 1915 Panama‑Pacific landmark

The Palace of Fine Arts was constructed for the 1915 Panama‑Pacific International Exposition to display art and industry and quickly became a beloved city landmark. Although the original structure was built as a temporary exposition building, the rotunda and colonnades were rebuilt in permanent materials in the 1960s to preserve the site. The Palace and its lagoon have appeared in numerous films and remain a popular cultural and photographic location.
