Dhanbari Zamindar Bari

Dhanbari Zamindar Bari, also known as Nawab Palace, is a historic residence located in Tangail District, Bangladesh. Established in the mid-1800s by Nawab Syed Nawab Ali Chowdhury, a prominent zamindar and the first Muslim minister in the British Indian government, the estate showcases intricate architecture and beautifully maintained gardens. Visitors can explore its expansive complex, which includes a large reservoir, flower gardens, a private zoo, and a Mughal-era mosque believed to be around 700 years old. The site also features the mausoleum of Nawab Ali Chowdhury, where Qur'an recitations have been ongoing since his death. This palace not only reflects the rich history of the zamindari system but also highlights the contributions of its founders to education and politics in the region.
