Joe Louis Arena - longtime home of the Detroit Red Wings

Joe Louis Arena served as the home arena for the NHL's Detroit Red Wings from 1979 until 2017. During that period it hosted numerous Stanley Cup playoff games and multiple Finals games involving the Red Wings. The team moved from Joe Louis Arena to Little Caesars Arena for the 2017–18 season, ending nearly four decades of Red Wings hockey at the venue.
