Old South Meeting House (Tea Party assembly site)

Old South Meeting House is an 18th-century meeting house where large congregational gatherings took place in colonial Boston. In the lead-up to the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773, colonists assembled at Old South Meeting House to protest British taxation and to coordinate the actions that led to the disposal of tea into Boston Harbor. The building now operates as a museum interpreting its role in Revolutionary-era civic organization and public protest.
