Lands End Lookout and Sutro Baths ruins

The Lands End Lookout visitor center overlooks the ruins of Adolph Sutro’s Sutro Baths, a large public saltwater bathing complex built in 1896 that burned in 1966; masonry remains of the baths are visible along the shoreline. The Lands End Trail provides public access between the lookout, the Sutro Baths ruins, and coastal viewpoints with views of the Golden Gate. The site is managed as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and interprets local maritime and recreational history.
