London International College

The London International College, operational from 1867 to 1889 in Isleworth, London, was an innovative institution aimed at fostering international education among secondary-school students. Founded by the International Education Society, it emphasized modern languages and a science-focused curriculum, distancing itself from traditional practices like corporal punishment. The college attracted a diverse student body, growing from 68 to 100 students by the 1880s, and featured notable figures such as author Maurice Hewlett among its alumni. Although it closed in 1889, its main building remains a Grade II listed structure, reflecting its historical significance.
