Møllergata 19

Møllergata 19 is a historically significant building in Oslo, Norway, known for its role as the main police station and prison during the German occupation from 1940 to 1945. It was the site where Vidkun Quisling surrendered to the Norwegian government in 1945. Originally established in 1866, the complex served law enforcement until the new police building was completed. During World War II, it was commandeered by the German army, housing prisoners, including British suspects and Norwegians, often subjected to harsh treatment. Today, it stands as a reminder of Norway's tumultuous history during the war.
