Seattle Central Library (Rem Koolhaas building)

The Seattle Central Library at 1000 4th Ave is a 2004 Rem Koolhaas and Joshua Prince-Ramus–designed glass-and-steel building that is often cited as an architectural installation integrating library functions with sculptural form. Its multi-level public spaces, dramatic central atrium, and visible structural grid host large-scale interior installations such as the 'Books Spiral' and multimedia displays used for exhibitions and public programs.
