Benedum Hall

Michael L. Benedum Hall is a prominent academic building at the University of Pittsburgh, completed in 1971 and designed in the brutalist architectural style. This 15-story structure houses the Swanson School of Engineering, featuring classrooms, laboratories, and the George M. Bevier Engineering Library. The building underwent significant renovations starting in 2008, including the addition of the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation, which won an award for its design. Benedum Hall is not only a hub for engineering education but also a historical venue where notable figures, including former President George H. W. Bush, have spoken.
