Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart

The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is the co-cathedral of the Archdiocese of Galveston–Houston, serving alongside the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Galveston. Designed by Spanish architect Rafael Moneo and completed in 2008, the co-cathedral seats approximately 2,200 worshippers. It hosts major archdiocesan liturgies, events, and organized pilgrimages by Catholic parishes and groups in the Houston area. The building's modern architecture and large sanctuary have made it a focal point for diocesan ceremonies since its dedication.
