French Legation Museum

The French Legation Museum preserves and interprets the nineteenth-century house that served as the residence and legation of the French diplomatic representative in the Republic of Texas. The house is among Austin's oldest frame structures and operates as a historic house museum with exhibits about early Austin history and Franco-Texan relations. The site hosts public tours, educational programs, and community events focused on local heritage.
