MOCAD exterior murals and street-art projects

The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) at 4454 Woodward Ave opened in 2006 and has commissioned site-specific public-art projects, including exterior murals and temporary street-art installations. MOCAD's programs have included outdoor murals and collaborations with local and international artists as part of exhibitions and community initiatives. The museum's facade and adjacent lots are recurring venues for publicly visible urban art in Midtown Detroit.
