San Antonio Four wrongful convictions and exoneration

Four women known as the “San Antonio Four” were convicted in 1994 in Bexar County of sexually assaulting two young relatives. Their convictions were later challenged by legal advocates and new evidence, and the convictions were vacated and the women were exonerated in 2016. The case, litigated in Bexar County courts, became a widely cited example in discussions of false allegations, child interview techniques, and innocence advocacy in Texas.
