Connelly–Yerwood House

The Connelly–Yerwood House is a historic Eastlake-style cottage in Austin, Texas, built in 1904 for the Connolly family. Originally owned by a stonemason and saloon owner, the house later became home to Dr. Charles R. Yerwood, an African-American physician, and his family. The house underwent several renovations, expanding to nine rooms and incorporating unique design elements reflecting its owners' heritage. In 2000, it was transferred to the City of Austin, restored, and now serves as the office for Anderson Community Development Corporation. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Texas history and architecture.
