Nathaniel Treat House

The Nathaniel Treat House, located at 114 Main Street in Orono, Maine, is a historic brick structure built in the 1830s, showcasing a blend of Federal and Greek Revival architectural styles. This 2+1⁄2-story house features a distinctive side-gable roof, a portico with Doric columns, and a beautifully symmetrical facade. Originally the home of prominent businessman Nathaniel Treat, who played a significant role in the development of the Orono-Old Town area, the house later became the residence of Charles J. Dunn, the chief justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
