Transport House, Belfast

Transport House is a striking Grade B+ listed building in Belfast, Northern Ireland, completed in 1959 as the headquarters for the Amalgamated Transport & General Workers Union. Designed by J. J. Brennan, it features a unique blend of architectural styles, inspired by Dublin's Busáras, with its distinctive seven-story and five-story blocks clad in pale green tiles and adorned with a Soviet Constructivist mural depicting industrial themes. Although it has been unoccupied since 2012, plans to revitalize the building and return the union's office are underway, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in modernist architecture and labor history.
