2009 NCAA Men's Final Four at Ford Field

Ford Field hosted the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four on April 4 and April 6, 2009. The Final Four games culminated with the University of North Carolina defeating Michigan State University 89–72 in the national championship game. The event brought the semifinal and final rounds of the NCAA tournament to downtown Detroit and used Ford Field's indoor capacity for the large crowd.
