Bragg–Mitchell Mansion

The Bragg–Mitchell Mansion, a historic house museum in Mobile, Alabama, was built in 1855 by Judge John Bragg and is renowned for its striking Greek Revival architecture. This two-story mansion features tall columns and a unique blend of styles, making it one of the most photographed buildings in the city. The mansion has a rich history, including significant events during the American Civil War, such as the removal of its furnishings and the cutting of live oak trees for military purposes. It remained in the Bragg family until 1880 and has since passed through several owners. Today, it serves as a popular tourist attraction, showcasing its fourteen rooms, including seven bedrooms, and offering a glimpse into the past.
