Hollywood Theatre - 1926 neighborhood movie palace still operating

The Hollywood Theatre opened in 1926 as a lavish movie palace in Northeast Portland's Hollywood District. It continues to operate as a nonprofit repertory cinema showing classic, independent, and specialty films. The building retains historic architectural features from its 1920s construction and regularly hosts film festivals and live events. The theater is one of Portland's best-documented surviving neighborhood cinemas from the early 20th century.
