54 Broadway

54 Broadway, also known as Broadway Buildings, is a historic office building in London, completed around 1924. It served as the main base for the Secret Intelligence Service and housed the Government Code and Cypher School until 1939. During World War II, it was disguised as the offices of a fire extinguisher company. The building features a distinctive mansard roof and has a rich history, including connections to notable figures like Kim Philby. Although the Secret Intelligence Service moved out in 1964, the building played a role in the Jubilee Line Extension project in the 1990s.
