Tomb of Princess Linhe

The Tomb of Princess Linhe, located in Cixian County, Hebei, China, dates back to the 6th century and is the burial site of Princess Linhe, a Rouran princess of the Eastern Wei. Discovered in 1979, this lavish tomb features exquisite murals, gold and jeweled ornaments, and approximately a thousand clay figurines that provide insights into the costumes and culture of the time. Notably, the tomb reflects a blend of nomadic and Han artistic traditions, marking a significant visual evolution in Chinese art. Despite being pillaged, it remains one of the largest and most important excavated tombs from the mid-sixth century, showcasing a unique architectural style and rich historical significance, making it a fascinating site for both tourists and researchers.
