Slater Park

Slater Park, the oldest and largest public park in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, spans 197 acres along the scenic Ten Mile River. Named after industrialist Samuel Slater, it features the historic 1685 Daggett House and an original Looff Carousel. The park's transformation began in 1907, turning swampy land into beautiful grassy fields and wooded areas. Notable attractions include the Slater Park Zoo, now a petting zoo, the Colonial Revival-style Potter Casino, a bandstand honoring famous composers, and the historic Cogswell Fountain.
