Houston City Hall - Art Deco municipal building

Completed in 1939, Houston City Hall is an Art Deco civic building that serves as the seat of municipal government. The limestone-faced structure was built as part of Depression-era civic improvements and retains original Art Deco detailing in its exterior and public interiors. It faces Hermann Square and remains a principal landmark in downtown Houston.
