Old Assembly Rooms

The Old Assembly Rooms, located at 9 Low Pavement in Nottingham, is a historic Grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century. Originally known as the Ladies’ Assembly, it features a spacious main room with a music gallery, along with drawing and refreshment rooms. The building underwent significant alterations in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, transforming it into a venue for social gatherings. It was initially owned by the Grand Stand racecourse proprietors before being sold to the News Society for Conservative Party use in 1835. In 1907, it was repurposed for office use, showcasing its adaptability through the ages.
