Nettleton–Mead House

The Nettleton–Mead House, located in Greeley, Colorado, is a historic residence built in 1872 and recognized for its Italianate architectural style. Originally constructed for Edwin S. Nettleton, a key figure in the Union Colony of Colorado, the house later became the home of Alexander Mead. Notably, his daughter, Ella Mead, was a pioneering female physician who opened one of the first birth control clinics in the U.S. in 1920. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 2, 2002, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in history and architecture.
