Equitable Building (Atlanta 1892)

The Equitable Building, constructed in 1892, was an eight-story office building located at 30 Edgewood Avenue SE in Atlanta, Georgia. Designed by the renowned architectural firm Burnham and Root, it was built for prominent developer Joel Hurt and stood as the tallest building in Atlanta outside the State Capitol until 1897. The building was notable for its height and architectural significance during its time, but it was ultimately demolished in 1971.
