Botanical Building (Balboa Park)

The Botanical Building in Balboa Park was constructed for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition and remains one of the park's original exposition structures. It is built of lath supported by a wood frame and is often described as one of the largest lath structures in the world. The building houses a large collection of palms, cycads and other tropical and subtropical plants and overlooks the adjacent Lily Pond.
