Old State House upstairs chambers

The Old State House (now a museum) retains 18th- and 19th-century upstairs rooms such as the Council Chamber and Governor's offices that are preserved as part of the building's historic interiors. Those upstairs chambers are not continuously open to casual passersby and are typically accessible only during museum hours, guided tours, or special programming. The rooms are documented in the museum's interpretive materials as part of the site where colonial and early state government business occurred.
