Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park

The Japanese Tea Garden originated as part of the 1894 California Midwinter International Exposition and is commonly cited as the oldest public Japanese garden in the United States. The garden includes features such as a drum bridge, a pagoda, stone lanterns, and a tea house, and has been expanded and maintained as a public attraction since the early 20th century. It is located within Golden Gate Park near the de Young Museum.
