The REACH expansion at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

The Kennedy Center’s REACH, designed by architect Steven Holl, opened in 2019 as a campus expansion that added rehearsal studios, education and community-access spaces, and new performance venues. The project created indoor and outdoor spaces intended to broaden public access to the Center’s artistic programming and community engagement initiatives. Since opening, the REACH has hosted free and ticketed performances, workshops, and arts-education activities.
