Harry Ransom Center - rare cultural artifacts

The Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin houses extensive archives of literary and cultural artifacts, including a Gutenberg Bible and what is described by the center as the earliest surviving camera photograph, Nicéphore Niépce's View from the Window at Le Gras. The center maintains major collections of authors' papers and visual-material holdings used by researchers worldwide. It regularly mounts public exhibitions drawn from its archives and special collections.
