Mud Island Riverwalk (hydraulic scale model)

Mud Island River Park features the River Walk, a hydraulic scale model of the Lower Mississippi River that allows visitors to walk alongside a scaled channel representing the river's flow and view models of locks, bends, and levees. The installation connects to a plaza and pedestrian overlook of the Mississippi and is part of Mud Island's developed park and museum complex. The River Walk has been a defining feature of Mud Island since the park's development in the early 1980s.
