Praisaniyakhan

Praisaniyakhan, meaning 'Postal Building' in Thai, is the historic site of Thailand's first postal office, established in 1883. Originally built in 1871 as the residence of a former governor, it played a significant role in the country's postal history and was a key communication hub during the 1932 revolution. Although the original structure was demolished in 1982, a smaller replica was constructed nearby in 2010, showcasing exhibits on postal history. This striking white Western-style building is located near the Chao Phraya River, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers exploring Bangkok's rich history.
