AT&SF Freight Office

The AT&SF Freight Office, located in Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a historic building constructed in 1946 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. This notable example of Mission Revival architecture showcases a two-story design with a basement, featuring a unique pebble-dash stucco exterior and original neon signs. It was part of a modernization effort for freight handling facilities, although the larger warehouse associated with it was demolished in the 1980s. Listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties in 2012 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2013, the Freight Office remains a significant landmark, currently part of the Alvarado Transportation Center property, despite being vacant.
