Rincon Center (Rincon Annex adaptive reuse)

Rincon Center occupies the historic Rincon Annex Post Office building at the Embarcadero and was redeveloped in the 1980s into a mixed-use complex with offices, shops, and a public courtyard. The redevelopment preserved and integrated the original façades with new construction around a pedestrian plaza. The complex is cited as an example of late-20th-century adaptive reuse in San Francisco's waterfront revitalization.
