Andrew H. McCain Arena

The Andrew H. McCain Arena, located on the campus of Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, is a versatile venue that accommodates up to 1,800 spectators for ice events and an additional 1,000 on the ice surface for various activities. Opened in 1988, it features an Olympic-sized ice surface and serves as the home for the Acadia Axemen ice hockey team. The arena has hosted notable events including exhibition games with Team Canada, NHL alumni, and American Hockey League matches. Additionally, it has been a site for Curling Canada's Olympic trials and was utilized by the Soviet team during the 1990 World Figure Skating Championships in Halifax. Beyond sports, the arena has also been a concert venue and was featured in the film Dolores Claiborne.
